The Liturgy Commission strives to coordinate and assist the parish in preparing for and living a Liturgical spirituality
according to the rhythm
of the Paschal Mystery, the entire mystery of Salvation in Jesus Christ.
The Liturgical Church year unfolds like the Minnesota seasons in nature. There are appropriate colors and symbols,
scriptural readings, music and reflections. These seasons help the faithful enter more fully into the life, mission,
passion, death, resurrection, ascension, sending of the Spirit
and promised coming of Jesus Christ.
The Commission works to mark these special seasons of the Church year, holy days, solemnities, special feasts of Mary and the saints and the celebration of the sacraments by careful planning. Appropriate themes emerge determining the particular use of symbols, flowers, music and colors.
The Commission members coordinate with the Parish priests, the Archdiocese, generous liturgical ministers, and parishioners
at large, as
one would plan for a special family birthday, wedding, funeral or anniversary. Liturgy is truly a
celebration of “Plentiful Redemption”,
Divine transforming Love in our midst.
