RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
What is RCIA
RCIA is a process in which men and women interested in finding out
more about the Catholic faith may look into the possibility of becoming
fully initiated into the Catholic community.
Who may participate?
- Those who have never been baptized.
- Those who have been baptized in another Christian denomination,
but who would like to join the Catholic community. - Those who were baptized Catholic, but have received little or no instruction and now wish to prepare for Eucharist and/or Confirmation.
- Those who would like to sponsor someone who is on a faith journey.

How does RCIA Work?
The R.C.I.A. process is divided into four phases:
- Phase I - Inquiry
- Phase II - Catechumenate
- Phase III - Purification & Enlightenment
- Phase IV - Mystagogia
