I was born in Vietnam but immigrated to the U.S. when I was four years old. My family and I arrived in Houston, TX where I grew up and lived most of my life. I joined the Redemptorists right after college. During the various stages of seminary formation, I had lived in the Bronx, Toronto, and Chicago. Before Coming to St. Al’s Brooklyn Center I did my diaconate year in Kansas City and my first assignment was in Houston. Some interesting things about me other than I look much younger than my age (which many point out to me) is that I have many hobbies including cooking, playing the piano, ice-skating, and working out. Also I am fluent in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish. My secret to learning those languages is karaoke! More importantly, being trilingual has helped me a lot in ministry and I look forward to sharing my energy and the gift of language with all of you at St. Al’s.
