Baptism

I have called you by name. You are mine.

In Baptism, the Triune God frees us from sin and brings us into the fullness of the divine family. Buried with Christ in a death like his, we rise to new life in a resurrection like his.

At St. Alphonsus Parish:

  • Children’s Baptisms, (infants up to 7 years old):  Outside of Lent, we generally have one class and one scheduled baptism every month for English and Spanish speakers. Contact the parish office (763-561-5100/[email protected]) to request an appointment to learn possible baptism dates and register for the class and baptism.

  • Children’s Baptisms, (7 years old and older):  Children 7 and older enter the RCIC or the Rite of Christian Initiation for Children. Contact Viridiana Flores ([email protected]/763-503-3329), Director of K-7 Faith Formation, for more information.

  • Teenage & Adult Baptisms:  Teenagers and adults who inquire about baptism enter the RCIA or the Rite of Christian Initiation.  We invite you to contact us to speak with one of the Redemptorists who staff the parish, and to visit the community.  When you are ready, contact the parish office (763-561-5100/[email protected]).
